Brothers Adduri Ramachandra Raju and Adduri Jagannadha Raju begin their entrepreneurial journey selling carbonated water (goli soda) in the local markets of Ramachandrapuram, East Godavari.

Establishing contacts with soda makers in London, the founders import glass bottles, sugar, CO2 gas and flavours — and create Andhra Pradesh's very first soft drink, ARTOS.

Sons of A. Jagannadha Raju, Mr A. Padmanabha Raju and Mr A. Satyanarayana Raju took charge of the company and modernised operations by bringing in automatic machinery, steering the business through a highly competitive period marked by the entry of MNCs into the Indian market.

Mr A. Jagannadha Varma, Mr A. Veerabhadra Raju and Mr A. Padmanabha Varma join the company, driving significant machinery expansions and boosting sales across the region.

Recognising the importance of safe drinking water for public health, the company sets up a dedicated packaged drinking water manufacturing plant.

Artos marks its centenary. The fourth generation takes over management, launching new products and implementing state-of-the-art machinery with a bold vision — to compete with MNCs and take Artos to every corner of India.
